We promote energy and water efficiency, responsible resource use, waste reduction, and improved processing and logistics practices. We support energy-efficient curing technologies and explore practical solutions that reduce emissions and strengthen resilience to climate change.
Sustainable Agriculture
We work with farmers to promote Good Agricultural Practices, climate-smart farming, soil health, responsible land use, and sustainable crop production. This includes supporting improved farming techniques, soil conservation, and measures to minimise agricultural runoff and protect water resources.
Forests, Biodiversity & Soil Health
We support afforestation, reforestation, and Community-Based Forest Management (CBFM) to promote sustainable wood resources, protect biodiversity, and enhance carbon sequestration. We also promote sustainable wood sourcing and traceability for tobacco curing, alongside practices that improve soil health and reduce pressure on natural forests.
Waste & Environmental Responsibility
We promote waste reduction, reuse and responsible management of processing by-products, while ensuring waste is properly segregated and disposed of in accordance with applicable requirements. We work to ensure that our operations protect surrounding water bodies, ecosystems, and biodiversity.
